About me
I am a Data Scientist with 4+ years of experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data engineering. Currently, I am pursuing an MS in Applied Data Science at the University of Chicago (2024–2026), specializing in predictive modeling, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
In 2023, I graduated with Highest Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics and Analytics with honors. During my undergraduate studies, I conducted an honors thesis on the robustness of Google’s PageRank Centrality algorithm on Undirected Networks, under the supervision of Professor Mariana Olvera-Cravioto.
From 2023 to 2024, I worked as a Data Scientist Intern at Cmind Inc, where I applied both machine learning and NLP techniques to enhance predictive modeling. I developed and optimized boosting models for earnings surprise prediction and automated ETL pipelines to improve efficiency, reducing data processing time by 30%. Additionally, I leveraged NLP techniques to extract potential influential factors, improving model accuracy and feature interpretability. I also designed heatmaps and interactive visualizations to communicate key findings, increasing stakeholder engagement by 25%.
I am passionate about leveraging data science, machine learning, and engineering solutions to tackle real-world challenges. My interests lie at the intersection of statistical methodologies, natural language processing, and AI-driven decision-making. I am driven by the power of data to uncover insights, explain complex phenomena, and guide informed decision-making.
